Planning Guide
How much space do you need for a padel court?
The standard playing area is 20 × 10 metres, but a real project needs more space than the playing rectangle.
Plan the whole site.
Playing area
20 × 10 metres is the standard playing footprint.
Structure allowance
The enclosure and structural system extend beyond the painted playing lines.
Safe circulation
Players, staff and visitors need practical access around the court.
Entry & waiting
Doors, bags, benches and waiting areas need space.
Spectators & hospitality
Commercial projects may need seating, shade, F&B or social space.
Operations
Maintenance access, lighting, drainage and utility routes should be planned early.
One court can fit; a good venue may not.
A site may technically fit a court but still be poor commercially if access, parking, circulation, noise, neighbour relationships or guest experience are weak.
